Hormones

There has got to be a.connection between fibromyalgia and hormones.  For women after being diagnosed with fibro we begin having swings with our hormones.  I am having all of the symptoms of perimenopause but blood work showed other wise. I experience hit flashes, menstrual irregularities,  and heart palpitations along with a hundred other symptoms.  I have also connected dizziness and fibro flares to hormones because a week before my menstrual cycle all symptoms escalate. I believe that fibro causes even our hormones to misfire.

The Dizzies and Fibro

The very first symptom I had is quite common with fibro.  Dizziness and vertigo is one of the many symptoms of fibromyalgia.  Four years ago I was stricken with the worst vertigo and I literally thought I was dying.

Since then I still battle daily dizziness.  Believe me it is no where what it was when it began,  but it is still there.  I have learned there are triggers that intensify it just as flares.  If I am exposed to flourescent lights or loud noises then I will have.a dizzy flare.  The hormone fluctuations of my menstrual cycle always brings on a spell as well as does strong smells,  migraines,  and using a computer for too long

I have found things that help such as wearing sunglasses whenever I am going into shopping centers or offices where flourescent lighting is used,  keeping my allergies under control,  and limiting my time on the computer.
